One of our goals is to assure access to midwifery for generations to come. Since our start in 1994, several dozen people have begun their paths of midwifery here.
Student midwives offer energy, enthusiasm and a fresh outlook to the practice. Senior midwives provide grounding and guidance to students in meeting their educational goals.
Client participation with students is optional and their level of participation is up to you. Students who take part in hands-on care have received a temporary permit to practice and certificates in neonatal resuscitation, CPR and sterile technique.
Some students only observe prenatal and postpartum visits, while others attend births and have an integral role on the midwifery team.
