Stacy Vandenput, CPM, Licensed Midwife, Oak Grove Midwifery, oak grove midwifery of green bay wisconsin,

Congratulations on your pregnancy and thank you for considering me to be a part of your journey!

In 25 years of birth-work, I’ve learned to TRUST that with excellent nutrition, fresh air, exercise, low stress and avoidance of harmful substances, you and your baby will grow in harmony through pregnancy, leading to very healthy outcomes and rare need for medical interventions. BELIEVE IN YOU and your ability to create a safe, home oriented plan for the birth your baby.  I PROMISE to inform you of the benefits, risks and options involved with your care and to PERSONALIZE your midwifery experience to the best of my understanding of your needs and wishes.

 Growing Up

I was born and adopted in 1966 by Donald and Nancy Vandenput and grew up in the shadow of Lambeau Field. We spent summers and weekends around northeastern Wisconsin at the homes, farms and cabins of our extended family in Mountain, Lakewood, Townsend, Oconto, Suring and Gillett.

My first job, age six, was planting 2000 blue-spruce saplings on my Grandpa’s Christmas tree farm, adjacent to the Nicolet National Forest.  My grandma managed a coat manufacturing plant, “North Trail Sportswear” at 129 South Washington Street, Green Bay where I accompanied my mom during school vacations. Mom let me help her in the shipping department, packing crates of coats and snowmobile suits for distribution.

I graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1984, completed an associate degree at NWTC in 1985 and completed my Bachelor of Arts degree at UWGB in 1993, simultaneously pursuing midwifery education outside of college because formal  programs for home birth midwives were not yet being offered through colleges.

I’m a mom of three adult children, Sage, Jade and Raven and “gramma” of two, all of whom were born at home, with the help of caring, competent midwives.  I’ve been involved in midwifery since 1988 when I began studying in preparation for the birth of my eldest child.

In my free time I love being with family, traveling, reading, writing and doing renovations on my 1890’s-built home.  I play banjo, ukulele, bass and piano and like to swim, hike or bike the trails with my Newfoundland, “Daisy”.
